I haveworked in Todmorden as a Health Visitor forpast 14 years. Before that I worked in hospital as a midwife and staff nurse. I have enjoyed meeting many great people over this time. I am committed to the delivery of high quality health services in Todmorden and Ilooking forward to the prospect of the new health centre. I also work part time for the Primary Care Trust as co-chair of the Professional Executive Committee ( PEC ) to ensure that clinicians are at the heart of decisions about healthcare in Calderdale.I am married with 2 sons both of whom are football mad. I am mad about horses ! |

I am Betty Chan, Health Visitor, of the Todmorden Health Visiting team working full time from 9 am - 5 pm weekdays. I am also qualified as a nurse, midwife and a community practice teacher ( training student health visitors ). It is a privelege to work with the families in providing the health visiting services in Todmorden. I come from Malaysia and had started my nursing career about 38 years ago in the south of England. I enjoy regular walks in the beautiful countyside of Yorkshire. |

I am a pharmacist who in the past has spent time working in hospitals in Stirling & West Yorkshire. My roles have included care of the elderly & psychiatric pharmacy. I am involved in training community pharmacists through a post-graduate diploma at Bradford University.I am currently a qualified Supplementary Prescriber and will be undertaking the training for Independent Prescriber status. My work at the surgery involves working with the GPs & nurses to review patients medicines to optimize effectiveness and safety. I am available to discuss any medicine issues with patients such as how they work, how to take them, when to take them, interactions with other medicines, foods & complementary preparations. My interests include: swimming, dancing, walking & fair weather camping. |
